Storing (excess/extra) wineglasses

Any ideas how to do this?

We're having a party and haven't got anywhere near enough glasses. So I thought we'd buy these (cheapie Ikea ones)

But how do we store them? I googled crates, and given how cheap the glasses are, they're crazily expensive. Any good ideas?

This kind of thing works well.

I bought 40 glasses a while (years) ago from Tesco, very cheap, and they came in folded cardboard boxes of 4. We put them back in the boxes and store in the garage in between parties.

I don't think Ikea does cardboard boxes, do they? when we've had glasses from them before - tumblers, admittedly - they're sort of shrink wrapped with just a little bit of cardboard. Otherwise yes, original boxes are the answer!

TapselteerieO - looks great - problem is we need to stick them in the loft between parties... So it needs to be some variation on a box...

Would you consider just hiring glasses?

We keep ours in a deep plastic crate wrapped in bubble wrap on a shelf in the garden shed. The glasses wrapped in bubble wrap, not the crate.

hiring is v hassley where we are, and when we've done it we always need to wash everything really well beforehand, and it's all a bit much with 3 small children underfoot.
oh, it was just that at £1.85 for 6 glasses it seemed such a bargain. But it's only a bargain if we can make storage easy.
