DS wanted Dark blue bedroom walls, so dark, how do I lighten it up!

My DS was adament he wanted his walls in his room dark blue, trying to persuade him otherwise we caved in.

It's so dark! Im having a roller blind and new carpet but what colours should I go for to help lighten it all up

not sure if this is too hectic, but a nice day-glow theme would be quite cool... and some white areas..

Does he like it? If so, leave it for a few years, and then let him choose a different scheme. You don't need to spend much time in his room!

Otherwise will he let you keep one wall that dark, and then progressively lighten the other 4 walls - so you end up with 4 differently shaded walls?

My son has Dulux Sea Blue on his walls which is quite dark. We brightened it up with white, lime green and orange.

Does he want it brightened up?

one white/cream wall?

will he put posters up?
