Tumble dryer - beko?

Just looking for a tumbledryer for the first time and looking at the Beko DSc64 from currys its £199 - never had a tumble dryer before so wonderedifanyone has one of these and if its any good?

We do :) we have the condenser one. It works very very well. There isn't anything I don't tumble actually! Even things that say you shouldn't.

I'm getting all excited now we're going for it! First ever tumbledryer is getting delivered next Saturday! And it is the condenser one as its going in the garage.

Even DH is all for it! Though I think he's just tired of damp washing in the spare room & round the house. I can't wait I've been moaning all "summer" I wanted one as it rained so much!

If you get a spin dryer too you wont need to use it for as long so it wont cost as much.

I hate damp washing too but I'm too tight to use the tumble dryer.

After 15 years of being a mother in a tiny house with no central heating I look forward every year to drying washing outside after winters of washing hanging everywhere.

Summer 2012- what a wash out and my dreams of washing outside shattered>>>>> I bought a tumble dryer... LOVE IT. i don't put wet washing straight in. I hanging on line if dry outside or hang on airer overnight then finish off in tumble dryer.

Fluffy - Does spindryer get more water out than spin on washing machine?

From what I have read yes they do, they spin at 2800rpm for 5 minutes and drain into a bowl etc.

If you fold everything neatly before you spin them it doesnt crease things as much either.

I have a Beko - it's fine.

I hang towels on the line before tumbling though so they are almost dry then soften them up in the dryer (unless it's lashing with rain and then there is no joy greater than knowing you have a tumble dryer!)

After the summer we have had I have broken and will buy a tumble dryer at the end of the month. I know it sounds sad but it was quite stressful trying to get clothes to dry this year, frankly, I gave better things to do with my time.

Are condenser driers better than vented or is it just personal preference.

The research I did said vented performed better but you have to have somewhere for the hose to go.

Still undecided but might for condenser as it will just look neater than the vented IYSWIM.

I think vented are better (and quieter) but we didn't have a place for the hole to go. The condenser works just fine. My washing machine has a good spin so I don't think a spin dryer would make much of a difference

You can plumb the condenser type in to the u-bend. Much more convenient than emptying the doodah
