The washing machine has hijacked the towells.

It's a 9 year old AEG one.

Does anyone know how I can fix it before DH comes home? I really dont want to be paying out for one so near to christmas. .

Ironically I nearly bought a Maytag 9kg one from Costco last month but thought better of it

I take it you can't open the door? Do you have a "stop" setting - if you put it to "stop" that will often get it to empty any water, do a quick spin and then unlock the door.

Door is now in pieces. New handle needed. Catch is broken.
