Damp Proof in South East - recommendations?

Hi all,

Does anybody in South East England (ESP Bucks / Berks area) have any recommendations of Damp Proof people you've used??

We've got damp along the skirting boards which want fixing before winter hits fully. But the industry seems full of sharks - would much rather go off recommendation if possible.

Allgood Treatments in Maidenhead is who we used. Recommended by the estate agent when we first bought our last house 17 years ago and came back several times over the years to do different bits and pieces. When we sold the house this summer and the buyers surveyor found "damp", the surveyor (whoever he was) knew Paul Allgood and accepted his report happily. Oh - and when we first bought the house and our surveyor found "damp", Paul Allgood gave us a good reason why there wasn't, and pointed out that it was actually in his interests to find problems! We'd use them again.

No idea whatsover about price or whether what they charge is reasonable. Once we knew them we didn't bother contacting anyone else for a price.
