Cleaning stainless steel

Can anyone recommend a good product for cleaning stainless steel? Just moved into a new house & the stainless steel oven hood & splashback are quite stained, so want to give them a thorough clean!

For a deep clean I use cream cleaner (Jif/Cif)and an e-cloth. For a quick swipe I use baby oil. Try an inconspicuous area first.

I hope it is brushed finish, not mirror?

Always rub in the direction of the brushing, and never in circles, as they will show.

If it is really bad you can use Barkeepers Friend on a green scourer, but you will have to rub the whole panel or the cleaned bit will look different.

Great advice, thank you. It is a brushed finish, it just looks like it's been splattered a lot & never cleaned properly, so want to restore it to its former glory!
