Descaling a shower head

So I have a shower where the head is fixed to the wall about 6 foot up. How do I descale the head? It doesn't seem to unscrew....

It should unscrew, I have similar and it does. I fill sink with descaling solution and soak head for couple of hours.

If it doesn't unscrew, soak a load of kitchen roll in vinegar & wrap that around head. Or get a small sandwich bag filled with vinegar & use an elastic band to secure for a few hours. Hth

Thanks to you both. . I am sure it does unscrew, and I am just being inept. Will have a go with urbanvoltaire's ideas.
