SODA CRYSTALS! Grin

I bought them to add to my white washing as I have old and grey white towels I wanted to get stains out of.

I looked on the back of the packaging (here's why I'm so excited) and it seems they can be used for anything from cleaning to getting moss off brick walls. I'm going to Google the brand to see what else they recommend but I was wondering what everyone else finds them really good for and what to give a miss.

Sold to the lady on the laptop! Grin

Where can I buy them?

PumpkInDublic · 14/10/2012 19:57

I get mine from Wilkinson's Gold, also they have uber cheap white vinegar! Got a good sized bag of the crystals for £1 and the vinegar for 80p.

Thanks for that.

There's a Wilkinson's in our nearest town so I'll pick some up next time I'm there.

We have a dry wipe pen stain on a bedroom carpet and have tried every substance known to man without successfully removing it. Will now have to look out for soap spirit.

I love MN!

Chemists tend to have soap spirit Gold Grin

Gosh you'd think we were an uber clean show home family from my cleaning product shopping knowledge

My tesco and sainsburys both stock them. Green bag, lowest shelf, less than £1.

Goldmandra · 14/10/2012 20:30

Fab! Just added soda crystals to my next Tesco online order (90p).

Couldn't find white vinegar though.

I searched for soap spirit too but it showed me a Radox handwash which I don't think would be much cop at getting stains out!

Why did nobody tell me about these things years ago?

I've also just added them to my online Tesco shop for tomorrow. Smile

I pour a cupful down the sunk then wash away with boiling water. Also, great for cleaning anything greasy eg extractor hood, splashback behind hob, grill pan (if tin foil has let me down), casserole dishes etc. might try to clean my oven as well now.

Can you use them on granite , my cooker splash back is granite and I just can't get all the fat marks off. We don't even eat fried food Sad
