After using machine fabric dye.. how long till its safe to do a white wash?

I'ld like to dye some muslins and bits, but don't want to ruin my machine, how much residue will there be? how many dark washes till you can safely do your whites?

I just do two dark washes, and never have problems, but I think one would be fine tbh

At least 2, hot as you can, and wipe round the door and rubber fittings with paper towels to make sure all residue removed.
