I would love a Magimix or a Kitchenaid one but are they really worth the price??

Yes. I absolutely love my Magimix and use it all the time. They are expensive and I couldn't afford a new one. I bought a lightly used one that was a few years old from www.preloved.com and never had any trouble with it.
