What colour cushions would go with a claret sofa?

I want to replace all my sad, squished cushions. I would like to step away from the cream and go for a colour - but what goes / clashes artfully with a rich red colour?

how about pewter grey, or bright gold, or silver, or perhaps orange or even purple if you can find a deep one or possible bright pink???
