best mop?

would very much appreciate a recommendation for a good mop. we have a vieda squeezy one which has been pretty good but the mop heads keep disintegrating lately and our local super market only seems to stock replacements occasionally.

would really loooooove a steam mop but with only the kitchen and bathroom to mop I don't suppose it is justifiable (though I am prepared to be persuaded)

Also a fan of microfibre mops - got the vileda one.

if you buy the Tesco or Wilkinson own-brand version (different fitting to Vileda) the heads are about a quarter the price. They have a simple scew-fitting but the poles are also much cheaper than vileda.

I don't recommend the old-fashioned "string" heads which are still available and fit. The ones that look like fingers of J-cloth, or the ones with rubber pimples, are fine.

Before I found a modern, all-plastic squeezy-type, which takes a floor wipe,"as advertised on TV" but can't remember name, I was using old squeezy mop without wetting the pad, but adding a disposable floor wipe, simply attached with two small bull-dog clips near handle attachment.Easiest mop ever, wipes binned after, almost cost-free.
