Washing b & q wood blinds in the bath?

They are old, but not falling apart...but in need of a good scrub. What will happen if I spray and then rinse them in the bath??? Will it really ruin them just this once??

I do it,not caused a problem yet, using ecover washing up liquid, rinse well, and hang back up to dry,

Great, I will give it a go, do you think washing up liquid or liqui tabs would be best?..... Or anything else?

I always just use the washing up liquid with a micro cloth, hope it goes well.
