Every week same as ours. Maybe I have sweaty children?

Iggly · 24/09/2012 07:28

Weekly. Or more if DS has wet his bed. Or eaten something getting crumbs every where. Dd is every few days as she's a baby and might sick up or have a leaky nappy.

Our DC are 5 and 7. Sweaty in the summer but not really the rest of the time and no wet beds to worry about. Just wondered if I'm being a slattern ;-)

We go on a self-catering holiday for a fortnight every year during which I do not change any beds (because it's meant to be a holiday for me too!) and I am pleased to report nothing terrible happens. No outbreaks of fleas, no dodgy smells or stubborn stains. The sheets get less crisp but that's it. And I personally think crisp sheets are a bit unwelcoming anyway...

After the last one I decided to try this at home and now do ours one week, the kids' the other and all appears to be well.

Ours every week
Small child every fortnight
Large, smelly, teenage boys every week

javotte · 24/09/2012 11:43

Fortnightly. The kids are small and everyone wears pyjamas.

Mum2Fergus · 24/09/2012 15:07

All bedding gets done weekly.

dikkertjedap · 24/09/2012 23:51

Once a week.

BigusBumus · 24/09/2012 23:54

I do ours and the kids fortnightly. We are not sweaty people and all wear things in bed.

iWILLdothis · 25/09/2012 10:50

Tuesday is beds changing day. One week our bed, next week kids' sheets. DS more often due to sick/snot/milk/pee. I don't clean duvet cover each timeBlush Anyone else leave duvet cover longer? I mean, it's the sheet underneath you & pillow cover that get icky quicker, isn't it??

Haemadoots · 25/09/2012 10:55

Once a week for our beds here.

gnushoes · 25/09/2012 11:00

once a week for adults (eczema cream everywhere), less often for kids.

livingfortoday · 25/09/2012 11:01

Ds one week

Ours the following

More if needed in summmer

I air the beds every morning, I fold them right back and have windows open.
We get washed and dresssed then I close windows before we go downstairs.

Sometimes I hand the duvets over the doors to get a better airing.

I also use sleep on both sides of the pillowcase by alternating it all.

We shower every day and wear pjs except DH.

SoozleQ · 25/09/2012 20:54

Oh god, i'm disgusting. Blush

Livingupatree · 25/09/2012 20:56

Once a week for all (I have a 3 & 5 year old).

BoffinMum · 25/09/2012 22:45

Once a week unless I am feeling lazy, in which case it's twice a week or someone wets the bed.

BoffinMum · 25/09/2012 22:46

I meant once a fortnight!
