Best Hoover

What's the best Hoover?

I currently have a dyson animals (I think - is either that or an all floors) and I want rid

It's 7/8 Years old and it's not doing what I want it to do.

I have a mix of wooden floors and carpets (and a hateful shedding wool rug)

Dh says dyson is best as it is more powerful hence more suction and he wants an upright (I hate uprights)

What are your suggestions?

It needs to be powerful as some carpets are quite deep pile.

Thanks in advance

It'll be a Miele.

Their upgrights are very good, the beating action is importand on a carpet. Very few cylinder vacs have a motorised head with a "beats as it sweeps" action. A brushing head operated by the suction flow is not as powerful. I don't know what makes offer it now, it is an expensive accessory but might suit you.

the top of the "Which" best buy uprights are:
Miele - S 7210 76%
Miele - S 7260 Cat & Dog 73%
Miele - S 7510 AutoCare 73%
Dyson - DC25 Multi Floor 70%
Dyson - DC25 Ball Animal 70%
Sebo - Felix 1 Premium 70%

Our Hoover hoover is crap!
Less than a year old and no longer works!!

Fwiw I had your hoover and I miss it!! :(

Marking place - I have had a Dyson, Miele and a Vax - none of them seem that good. Perhaps I don't know how to use them Confused

I am now getting my mum's old Orek, I have used her's - I think it is excellent - she is treating herself to a new one so I can have an old one.

As my house has three stories I can keep a hoover on each floor, plus one for the garage Grin.

Sebo. Done.

ChablisLover · 23/09/2012 20:23

From reading on here these sebos seem to be the way forward

Will go and look at the all.

The dyson is just doing my head in. Am having to use the curtain attachment on the deeper piles to get any results at all!
