I'm looking for a carpet cleaner and noticed those new steam cleaners are supposed to work on carpets too - this would be doubly handy as I could then use it in the kitchen and bathroom as well the bedrooms with their shockingly cream carpets.
Are they any good for cleaning carpets, though, or would I be better off with a vax?
I've got a £50ish budget which isn't a lot, but you can get either kind new on ebay for about £55 it seems :)
