How often do you wash out your bag-less vacuum cleaner?

i.e. strip it apart and wash all the components and rinse out the filter. Do you do it after every use, or less often?

Have had this one about 16 months and never done it. I probably should occasionally I suppose...

i think i'd be a vote for the 'less often' party

Much less often 6 - 12 months!

If i think it's not sucking as well as it used to I do a full strip down (sunny days help obviously!).

Um, twice in the almost 3 years we have had it.

Mine has only been done once in 2 years - and that's cos it broke and the fixer man did it.
I can honestly say it has never occurred to me to do this! must join slatterns thread
