Can I use washing machine cleaner in my dishwashet?

I have loads of washing machine cleaner, and no dishwasher cleaner. Is it the same stuff with a different label?
There's nothing on the packaging to say "Do Not Use in Dishwasher"

Or do I just run it empty with some soda crystals instead of detergent?

I'd run it with soda crystals,but I love them,and use them for cleaning everything.

YY to half a cup of soda crystals and a hot wash.
