Washing microfibre cloths with general laundry?

I recently bought some microfibre cloths and they say to wash separately to avoid linting. I don't really know what that means and don't want to do a wash just for cloths. What do you lot do?

I do mine with my towels. No probs.

I wash them with the general laundry. Linting has never been a problem.

Mine also go in with the towels.

No fabric softner though, stops them absorbing properly.
