I have 2 rooms with cream/white carpet that need cleaning.

Is Rug Doctor worth getting? If so, is 24 hrs enough or should we go for 48?

How much cleaning fluid do you need 1, 2 , or 4 litre? They'll need 2 goes atleast as they are pretty grotty.

Do you need their anti foam stuff?

They do a great job and are easy to use. 24hrs would be long enough, wouldn't think you would need to do twice, but would be worth getting the pre treatment spray for the worst bits. 2 litres of fluid would be enough but you'll get a better deal if you get 4 litres then you can save the rest for next time. I've never bothered with anti foam. Think that's all your questions answered!

I've used Rug Doctor. I love it! I have a cream carpet and it comes up beautifully. I haven't done it for a long time now, as I don't have any little ones anymore, so I can't remember how much fluid I bought, but I think it's about the average size of washing liquid, if that helps! The room is 20sq metres.

I didn't get anti-foam, just the regular cleaner. You will need to let it dry though, so might b worth getting it for 48 hours if you're doing two rooms. Then you can avoid one room, whilst it's drying iyswim.

Well worth a go. Stairs come up lovely too and it's really easy to use. The grot that comes out of it, will make you feel like a scumbag though, so be warned!

So true about the grot Maureen, looks like you're emptying a mop bucket after mopping the street :o
