Muddy stains....*sighs*

Ok, DS has come home the last two nights with muddy school uniform. Haven't got use of a washing machine, so am having to wash by hand.

My problem is his white shirts. He's got the collars muddy. Tried soaking in non-bio powder and scrubbing with old toothbrush. They aren't too bad, but still leaving a slight brown mark. What should I use? Net curtain whitener? Laundry bleach?

Can't use bio powder due to sensitive skin. Any help/suggestions would be wonderful! Thanks

You could try Ace Laundry bleach. Get your rubber gloves on, and water naice and hot.

Mud is a bugger to get out even with bio powder in a machine!
I shall mark my place and await a washing expert!

Thanks blue2, will have a look for that next time I'm shopping.

I've already got some net curtain whitener....might give that a go tonight and report back!

Shybairns - mud is a bugger. And if DS comes home with muddy clothes 3 nights in a row, I will be a bugger [grins]

My new friend is napisan, it gets lots of stains out if you leave things in to soak with washing powder as well.

Don't worry about the stains, they will soon reappear!
