single winter duvet in an 8kg machine?

i lost the manual and its a newish machine,

lg direct drive and there is a duvet setting on the programs,

sounds simple enough but i had to push and shove to get the duvet in and now im questioning myself?

should be fine if you are able to get your hand karate style on top of the load.
remember to use much less detergent than usual for a full load, though. and no bio detergent if it is a feather filled duvet.
