How far back do I need to keep phone records for?

I have since 2008!!!! Trying to have a clear out, advice gratefully received!

what do you expect to use them for?

I'm not sure you need to keep any at all tbh, so long as you at least glance at them and believe the bill is reasonable you aren't likely to want to query anything later.

I kept paper bills for 12m, and I think that was excessive! Now I use paperless billing, less clutter!

I recently threw some away from 2001 I don't think I'd ever looked at them since receiving them!

Goodness knows what I think I need them for???

I keep all paperwork for 6 years, because claims agianst me will generally be time-barred after that, so I won't need them as evidence for anything.
