....has made me realise just how inadequate my efforts have been during the holidays

I am glad that nobody else saw how full the Hoover was when I'd finished - I did a proper job; moved all the furniture that I was physically capable of moving, on top of the wardrobes, all light fittings etc but nevertheless!

Just got to mop now and remake the beds and I'll be done!

Well I planned to do it but MN and a cup of tea was too strong a pull

I need to empty out the desk drawers and the 'making things' cupboard. Both are so stacked that I have nowhere to store my filing. Have been putting off both jobs...

I have done bits and pieces during the holidays, but today I deep cleaned the upstairs bathroom, scrubbed the kitchen and hoovered.

I was due to start wallpaper stripping once I'd finished cleaning, not sure that's going to happen!

I kept on top of laundry, hoovering, floor washing and cleaning the bathrooms, but nothing actually got a deep clean.

Today is a new week, kids back at school and hopefully things will stay clean (er) once they have had a thorough scrubbing.

It sounds like my house is filthy, it isnt, but its not as clean as it usually is.

V clean and tidy but Lordy me the flies and cobwebs ( I live near a farm!) I've been tidying draws and cupboards and clearing like billio but really need to dust floorboards and clean windows! Ive got loads of painting and decorating to do before Xmas too!
