curry stained carpet - help!

DH poured half his curry onto our carpet, and we have tried sainsbuiry's carpet cleaner, and bio liquid to get it out, to no avail. It's left an orange stain. Any tips?

The carpet is dark beige, sort of milky coffee colour, and is 80% wool, and was expensive.

The curry was a madras.

DH claims it was my fault for making him carry too much food all at once.

I mention that it was expensive because I really don't want it ruined. Not to show off, btw.

Vanish? I bought some vanish gel, new product I think, for the babies babygrows because its suitable for delicate skin so I imagine it will work on carpet without damaging the wool, I'm not at home so can't check if it's suitable for carpets, it's in a pink bottle!

It might be worth ringing your insurance company.
