Storage solutions...

Moving house soon and my new house resolution is for everything to have a place, and to be able to find everything easily.
What storage solutions have you all seen that have made your life easier? Am thinking I need somewhere for recycling, something for under the sink for housekeeping stuff, toys in playroom (prob just use plastic boxes on shelves...) as well as everything else in the house... I have a budget of £300 overall for storage so anything you think might make my life a bit easier, that doesn't cost the earth, please share ;-)

I use cardboard magazine files for lots of things. Like this:

They cost around £1 each from stationery shops (if you buy cardboard ones. Plastic and metals ones are much more expensive). I stand them on shelves and use them for things like books that are too thin to stand up alone, children's work, paper and card for crafts, comics, household paperwork, school work. They're great for organising paper stuff.

But my favourite ways of avoiding mess and clutter are to declutter and also to avoid buying the stuff in the first place.
