I've been thinking about getting it too. But I felt I needed something more personal to fit my needs. So I made my own... Printed off A5 diary off Internet, put inside folder (old weight watcher holder), added some A5 notepaper, printed out meal planners, shopping lists, address lists off Internet and voila I have my planner. I have my notes in sections I.e work, home, and separate using sticky dividers.
I love the fact it's what I need and tbh didn't take as long as I thought it would.

Mine has been ordered and will arrive this week, along with the wall planner. I've used the old wall planner for the last year and it's brilliant. I'm hoping combining the two will make me superhumanly organised!

i like it as a concept, but stopped using it after about 2 months - too big to fit in my bag comfortably.

I did however get the family organiser calendar which is great and all you actually need. I found the diary to be full of things that seem like a good idea, but in reality were not.

I've got four children, currently in 3 different schools, between them we do swimming (2 different groups), guides, brownies, flute, gym, french club and two youth clubs. We need to be organised :)

I had one of those life book diary things you lined too and it didn't work for me. I found it far too difficult to have a small diary thing to carry round as well as a proper calendar on the wall. Some things were in the diary others on the calendar and we ended up double booking ourselves!

the calendar by itself is fab :)

for budgeting I use a program (YNAB) on pc and the corresponding app on phone

for lists I use word on pc for some things and a notebook for others

I had it, it was too big and didn't work for me. I have 4 dc, we now use the wall calendar together with google calendar which I can manage in my phone.. And that's working fine. Have had the wall planner too and that is fab but needs something else for longer-term planning. Google cal is great because i can invite dp to something & its automatically on his calendar. Updates for him when I update it so he always knows what's going on.
I do have the OM magnetic shopping lists which are also good but moving more to using an app these days. HTH.

Echoing others I bought the book and the calendar - the latter was brilliant. Diary-lifebook-thingy not so much. (that may be cos I have a work diary too and CBA to write things in several places)

I made my own. We home ed and the schedule for ferrying is tough never mind the lesson planning/goal setting/reporting. I couldn't find anything that fit the bill so I designed one on the mac and got it bound at staples. Cost about £4 and it's brilliant. I am sooooo humble Grin

I've just got the family weekly planner, I agree with the others that I think the Life Book would be too big and cumbersome to carry about, and if I had both I'd double book. The calendar is great - the weekly one has a plastic overlay on it so you can write on recurring events and just move it over each week, and it has a nice big space for each member of the family. There are 4 of us, so I use the extra two columns for Misc. (basically house stuff in here, like meters needing read or when the shopping is getting delivered) and Meal Planning.
