Do you have a cleaner who irons as well?

Thinking about getting a cleaner in for 3 hours a week - but would quite like to get her to iron for one of them. Does anyone else do this and how much do you pay / how much ironing do you expect to be done? The two hours cleaning should be fine as that is what our current cleaner does.

I pay £10 ph for a cleaner who cleans a 2 bed flat and irons 5 shirts in 3 hours. I don't stipulate how long the ironing should take, she just plans her time herself. though I've seen her ironing and she's as speedy as anything and does a fantastic job.

I have a fab lady. She irons as well as cleans. And cooks. And looks after the children (okay, so she's technically more of a mother's help than a cleaner). I pay her £12.50 an hour and she does 6 hours a week, split over 2 days.

I do. She comes twice a week, for 5 hours on one day and 3 hours the next. We leave the ironing out for her and she does whatever she can around the cleaning. We pay £8/hr (have been using her for years - and still pay the same as when we started). I leave it up to her to decide what to do - but personally would be gutted if she didn't do the ironing!

My MIL has a cleaner who come in once a week (2 hourr). But my MIL will leave all her ironing (washed of course) in a big bag for the cleaner and she will take the bag home to iron them at her 'own time'. Then just bring back the ironed clothes the next time she is round. Of course this is additional charges and works out about 30p per shirt, and something like £5 for double bed beddings (fitted sheet, flat sheet, duvet cover and 6 pillow cases). It's worth asking her whether she will consider doing ironing at her own time :)

Yes, she does an hour of ironing every week (and 3 hours of cleaning). £9 per hour in the SE

Yes. She does 6 hours a week - a mix of cleaning and ironing. I would imagine that she spends about 3 1/2 hours cleaning and 2 1/2 hours ironing. Some weeks I don't have as much ironing so she will take longer over the cleaning. £10/hour in Kent (inside M25).

I've had a cleaner for about 8 years, and I only ever have cleaners who are willing to iron too. Lots aren't.
