Dishwasher Angst

My dishwasher has finally stopped washing.
I have tried most expensive tablets, cleaning with those special cleaning tabs an more recently vinegar, not overloading
But still the glasses are blue and bits of food on stuff.
We live in a v v v hard water area- Is this the problem?
Any ideas!!

Salt. Lots of it. Made for dishwashers. Clean and scrub out filter. And then run an empty load with rinse aid. Dishwashers need lots of tlc (so dull!)

no, it needs dishwasher salt. Use own make stuff as its cheaper. You should always use salt and rinse aid even if you use all in one tablets

Sometimes you just have to wash stuff by hand. The children are delegated to empty/stack the dishwasher and they are not very bothered about the filter, so even with salt and rinse aid I find glasses and stuff can get smeary and sandy and rewashing them in the dishwasher just doesn't work.

So a thorough scrub in the sink and a decent dishwasher clean out is on the cards!

Wash things by hand?????

You need...

1. Salt
2. rinse aid
3. Clean out filter
4. Examine the turny round arm things (technical term) and make sure they are not blocked or obstructed.

By blocked, I mean that the little holes are not blocked
