Low water level in toilet bowl

Over the last few days I have noticed that the water level in the toilet bowl has dropped. It's normal after flushing, but then drops by an inch or a bit less. I have checked and there is no leak anywhere - have checked both inside and outside.

Any ideas?

you have a blockage in the soil pipe or underground drain.

If you have inspection covers "manholes" you can have a look and see if one is full

unless you want to buy or hire drain rods, ask around for a drain-cleaning service.

Female hygene products, kitchen roll, cooking fat and toys are often responsible.

You can try a large plunger but I don't think it will work.

Do it soon before it starts to overflow indoors or through a cover.
