Boring thread alert!!! Steam Iron recommendations please!

Having had the second one in 6 months blow up this evening, I am hoping to replace it with something a bit more reliable! Think I must overwork them as I've been through 4 in 4 years! If your iron had lasted more than 6 months could you tell me which model it is? TIA

I've had a Russell Hobbs Steam Generator for about 5 years. It's brilliant and still as good as the day I bought it!

It wasn't a cheap iron but the minimal effort needed while using it more than makes it worthwhile, IMO.

I was wondering about a steam generator as my friend has one and it is brilliant. However due to my apparent iron curse I am reluctant to spend out £100+ on an iron!

It is about 3-4 months old and no issues so far!

We've got the older version of that Philips one. Had it for several years and its been brilliant. Would never go back to an ordinary iron.
