I have tried to clean it using hot water and Napisan bit the carpet is coming away in clumps, i think she has been peeing in this spot over and over and it has rotted the carpet. Sad
What can I do to clean it and stop her going there again?

Biological washing powder- apparently the enzymes break down the smell (even when you can't smell it any more they can) and discourage them from peeing there again.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, you need a carpet cleaner when you have cats and lots of carpet.

I hope it came out op, if you have to claim on the insurance then do so. MIL did for a coffee stain and got a like for like carpet.

Thanks stella
She has done it again! After I cleaned it with Napisan which is biological isn't it? The carpet is ruined, how do I stop her?

to get rid of the smell try shaking bi carb of soda,(this should absorb the smell0 also try sticking her nose in her own waste, if this doesnt work try sprinkling pepper in the area where she pees in

If you have a steam cleaner it should get rid of the smell.

I used Spray Away Plus (from Tesco I think) to clean DD2s floor where she used to squirrel away wee filled nappies and it seems to have done the job. Was recommended by someone who's cat used to puke everywhere...
