East top - shrunk :-(

I bought a top from East which clearly said hand wash only - I've never hand washed anything and put it in a gentle 30 wash.

It's now a bit tighter than it was before - surely I haven't put on that much weight in a week!!

Can anyone tell me if I wash it in a 30 wash again will it shrink more, or once something has shrunk thats it - it won't shrink anymore - as you can tell I really don't want to hand wash it!!

Thanks

Just wash it by hand for goodness sake. It may shrink more yes...to wash by hand, just fill a bowl with warm water...add washing stuff and swirl it around..leave it to sit for half an hour, then gently pummel. Don't twist it to wring it out...gently squeeze between flat palms and then get two towels, roll them up a bit and place the top between them and press...then lay flat on another towel to dry.

The towels can just be hung up to dry afterwards.

Iron it first and it will probably fit again. Next time handwash although it should not shrink again as it has now been washed once.
