Spider season is upon us, help!

So my husband (thank goodness it was him that found one sitting on the loo roll this morning, not me!), has found two of the large, hairy blighters in as many days.
As it's far too early to find any conkers I need another method of keeping them away.
Does anyone know of any devices / tips / tricks to keep them away?

Watching this thread carefully while scanning the room for the bds.

Spider stop spray. Get some and spray it around all your doors and windows. It really works.

I got mine from betterware. Im not sure where else does it though.

I have a dog, who is useless with them - just watches with interest! That spray looks promising, found lots of things like that on Amazon so will be investing asap!

Doesn't 'indorex' spray keep all spiders and other insects out of the house for up to 12 months?!

I'm sure I read that once. Can be found at the vets and is useful foot killing any flea eggs.
