URGENT- Recommendations for carpet cleaners

I have been meaning to hire a carpet cleaner to do my carpets for a while. After a vomiting incident last night, it has gone up my priority list somewhat! I have decided it would be better value in the long run to buy rather than hire.

Do you have any good recommendations for carpet cleaners? The only one I have heard of is Vax, from about 20 years ago.

i've never used anything apart from the Rug Doctor ones you hire from dry cleaners

it was worth the money though, you have to buy all the cleaning fluids, but they keep and you'll have enough to use 3/4 times so the next time you hire, it's cheaper.

and if you hire you don't have to store or maintain it

Rug doctor is fantastic really easy to use and carpets are reasonably dry when finished. Can hire from morrisons or homebase

Well I have hired a rug doctor today and so far have cleaned 2 carpets.

Off to do DD's bedroom, once I have cleared all her junk. Will let you know what I think of the results.

Who would have thought that carpets could be so dirty?

I rug doctor!

I am also absolutely bloody exhausted.

2 rugs, 2 bedrooms, stairs and landing.

I am now having wine, my dodgy ankle is throbbing, and I probably won't be able to walk tomorrow, but the carpets look fab.

Thanks for the recommendation.
