Vacuum/ carpet cleaner recommendations

Vacuum just broke!! Any recommendations for vacuums and carpet cleaners?have mixture of floors and stairs too.

Henry, anytime, anywhere.
I love my Henry above anything else (miele, dyson, electrolux, you name it) I've ever had.
Not ideal for long stairs but do half from the bottom an half fom the top ( if that makes sense).
NOT dyson waste of money and time (buying, cleaning filters,etc.)

I've heard a few folk saying Henry is best thanks!
