what to do with all of them ?

not recipes as such but any tips for keeping them once picked?
heard they are complicated to freeze - do they keep for long in fridge?

I've frozen beans no trouble :) top n tail if dwarf or slice if large, blanch in boiling water for 1/2 mins and then plunge into cold cold water, drain quickly and leave on kitchen towel for a few mins to get excess moisture and then bag and freeze :)

Wish I had enough beans to freeze, totally rubbish crop this year :( :(

I don't even bother with blanching them. Top and tail and run through the bean slicer, freeze brilliantly. Though recommend a pinch of bicarb when cooking them from frozen helps them to keep their colour.

Our year has been pants too kiwi and we've not had any to freeze or chutney. In previous years I've frozen enough to keep me going til the start of the next season.
