Recommendations for bedding?

One of our pillowcases has just ripped right across Shock think it's going to be beyond mending!

They were part of a set, which matched the curtains (until the bedding faded loads...) and in our old house we used those as the starting point for decorating our bedroom. But I wouldn't be able to get the same ones any more.

Thing is though, in the new house we hadn't got round to redecorating the bedroom yet - it's really not "our" style at the moment, but not yet sure how we'd like to do it and we haven't had much spare time to think about it. So if we have to get new bedding, I would like to get something that we can use as a starting point for a "new" bedroom, or at least that will fit in with whatever we choose later. Also I've not yet figured out whether we keep the old curtains and get something that will still work with those, or eventually replace them too (not got tons of money to spare for redecorating though).

So I need some inspiration - please can you share your favourite places to find nice, but not hideously expensive bedding? Ideally something a bit interesting, not just totally plain or "blah"! Any other good ideas for bedroom inspiration also very welcome! (I'm also wondering what to do about the wall of built-in cupboards/wardrobes, for example - they are very practical, but not especially good-looking). Thank you!

Oh Dunelm, that's a good idea, I'll have a look on their website - thanks!

I was on a website not long ago with some really nice stuff, a bit "different" (I remember some crochet-style bedcovers in bright colours and some slightly hippyish prints), but that was before the pillowcase ripped, and can I remember what it was now... ?! Confused

Try this place. Has lots of bedding on lots of designs. Caters for all tastes. Some sets have matching curtains as well. Very reasonably priced as well. Hope it helps. Www.Homespacedirect.com

Thanks, I'll take a look at that too!

I think I have just found where I saw all the interesting ones, I searched through my cookies and think it was Urban Outfitters. So going to have a look at that as well!

For the wardrobes, I saw in a magaZine today that somebody covered the fronts of ugly built in wardrobes with a statement wall paper. (or could've been fabric) looked quite good, and fairly easy and cheap to do Grin

Hm thanks silly, will have a think whether that would be do-able! Though they are quite big (6 full-length doors I think!).
