Blasted spiders

What is it with spiders this year? i can't keep up with the cobwebs- huge ones- from huge, thin spiders.

I always have conkers in the house - some say it's an old wives tale, and yes we get the odd spider, but I'm sure without them we would have more.

I have one on every window sill of the house and refresh them annually with the next crop. bonkers
