How does Flylady work?

I've just been on Flylady as I'd like to learn how to keep my house clean and tidy and do a routine etc. I went on the Flylady website however, and it seems so complicated that I don't know where to begin or how to use it. Any guidance would be gratefully received!

join one of the Flying threads on here, makes it much easier to follow. You're just in time to start the August thread...

There are a few others around as well Smile

Also on the website there's a getting started bit: tells you what to do day by day and helps you to set up your routines.

Flylady is great.
I did it for a few years, but have adjusted and adjusted it so I am just doing a shadow of it.
Basically, log on to the site and look at the getting started page
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE E-MAILS you will be bombarded

Then search here for the FLY threads. There's normally one for beginners and one for the more advance, but both have always had very nice, supportive people on.

On the fly website, there are 30 steps, you do one new thing a day, plus 15 minutes of decluttering.
Just follow the steps and it will all become clear.

How do you join the mumsnet one - do you 'watch' it and check daily? (Sorry if this is obvious to anyone else). Thanks

Re the MN page, they normally have one poster who will be 'in charge' of the thread for the month, so will post the mission and baby-steps every morning, so go onto the page, have a look at what needs to be done then sit on you're arse all daychatting take it easy to get your house in order. Post any questions, etc on that thread, they will be able to help and share ideas and there is normally at least one person about all day

When you post on a thread, the thread will be held on your 'Threads I'm on page' unless you don't post for 3 days (is that the default? I changed mine to 7) then it will go and you'll have to search for it, but 'watching' it is a good idea so you can find it quickly
