Which steam mop: Vax S2 vs Lakeland

I know there are loads of threads on these steam mops and I think I'm ready to bite the bullet and get one.

Have had my eye on the Vax S2 and noticed it is on offer on amazon at the moment for £60. I have been reading a few of the othe threads and the Lakeland mop has been recommended a few times. This is also £60.

So I am just wondering if anyone has tried both and could advise which is the better buy? I am probably veering towards the Vax but would appreciate any opinions. Thanks.

Marking place. Also interested in getting one!

I have the Vax S2, it is excellent. The one I bought came with white microfibre cloths www.vax.co.uk/1-1-131864-00-triangular-steam-cleaning-pads which pull off, when they get too wet. I bought the blue coral cloths on ebay and it works brilliantly. They may well come with it now, bought mine earlier this year.

Thanks hedwig. It does come with the white cloths but I think you need to buy the blue ones separately.

Going to ask a stupid question now but where does the dirt go when you're using a steam mop?!

I had the Lakeland mop until Ds1 broke it. It has some good features - nice long cord length, good quality microfibres pads, easy set up, but, I didn't like the pumping to create steam- it was really hard work and because the microfibre pads were quite thick the steam didn't seem as effective as my previous steam mop. I preferred previous mop with continuous steam flow. Neither mop reached the corners of the floor well.

Got me a Sweet Shark steam mop from Argos last year. Top stuff, love it.
