Has anyone tried one of these? www.johnlewis.com/188538/Product.aspx I'm tempted but can't quite believe it would really work.

I have one and prefer it to normal mops. It does clean pretty well. I do often use cleaning sprays with it as well, though does work with just water.

I have the Lakeland version and it's fantastic - I use wring out the head in some water and floor cleaner before using.

I love mine! Have several mop heads so I can wash after each use. Yes, it really works I know use it every day and it takes a fraction of the time that mopping usually would so it never builds up. I don't use it with puppy mess though - that gets the more traditional treatment!

Thanks, that's really helpful. My current mop is getting trashed by builders and I fancy the idea of no chemicals etc. Do you have to mop every day? I usually only do it once a week (no pets, just DH and I plus soon to be DS).

I have the Lakeland one too, mine has a mopping head and a softer head for dry brushing when just doing a quick swish. Soooo much easier than dragging the Hoover out for a small area.

It revolutionised my life. My mother family believe that only getting down on your hands and knees and scrubbing works on floors. I agree, but am too lazy to do it. This mop means that our floors are a bearable state especially because dh now does the floorcleaning.

Pretty good without cleaning products, nothing stopping you adding a bit of stuff for a really bad floor/lots of wee etc.

I also have the Lakeland version and I love it. I have additional mop clothes and the brush clothes as well. I used just water initially, but after a few months I found the floor getting very slippery when dry. I now use method sweet almond wooden floor cleaner. I do think it makes it that little bit cleaner. No rinsing, you just squirt it straight from the bottle to the floor and mop. I have 4 dcs five and under - floor gets v. Dirty and I don't have that much time to clean, gets the job done in short time.
