Do they cool the room any better than a normal fan, or is it just the fact that they are quiet?

First time I saw one was on one 'born every minute' on tv, god knows how their Nhs trust can afford them, we have to take in our own pens these days in the trust I work in! anyway I digress, no I haven't got one!

Seriously? I totally agree with you however, I gave birth in the hottest July ever so I would have happily given my right arm for a decent fan in that delivery suite
