Do you keep coats in your downstairs loo (cloakroom?)

We hang some jackets and shoes in the downstairs loo, despite me being a bit about the very idea of it for a very long time.

I'm just about to give the room a total makeover and want a good argument against putting the coat hooks back up. I don't really have anywhere else downstairs they can go however, so might not have a choice.

Where do you keep your coats and shoes?

Yes, we do. It's a long room so the coats are nowhere near the loo. The main problem I find is that the coats and shoes seem to procreate in there and have to be thinned out regularly otherwise visitors have to do a "lion, the witch & the wardrobe" manoeuvre to burst through. :o
