I need a new iron - any recommendations?

My iron which isn't all that old has the flex split on it. I've never really got on with it so quite pleased to have an excuse to get a new one? Any recommendations? I have been wondering about getting a steam generator one but not sure if my ironing really warrants one plus they are quite big to store. So experiences would be appreciated.

I have a rowenta pro precision steam iron - I am really pleased with it and it is at least two years old now. They don't make that exact same model now but I would definitely recommend a steam generator iron - I don't think I could go back now!
My dream ironing solution would be an ironing table though

Have a look on the Sainsbury's website, you can order on-line and collect the next day in store, I bought a Breville one a couple of week ago, it was seriously reduced in price and it's great, very light weight.

I've never tried a steam generator one, but I hear they're great, they have one reduced from £199 to £99.

I promise I don't work for Sainsbury's I've just had some really good bargains from their website.

You NEED a steam generator with,

Pressurised steam.
Ceramic sole plate
Permenant scale filter.

I got mine in Homebase half price, they seem to buy stuff in then cant sell it and end up discounting it. Paid £65 for mine, it's £180ish now.
