Need to clean my house from top to bottom in the next 24 hours!

Anyone got some good tips of how to organise myself so i dont spend time going round in circles? I often do this!

Was thinking start at the top where there is least to do. One room at a time and leave bathrooms and kitchen to last otherwise will want to do them again before i depart. Cleaning for houseswap.

Please share your best tips with me, so far i have tidied the garden and ate a scone with a cuppa Blush Grin

Before you start to clean, make sure you have tidied. Start at the top work your way down. Leave the kitchen until last.

If you're cleaning for house swap (do you mean holiday swap thing?) them I think a good impression is essential. Air your house, open all the windows, maybe give them a clean while you are at it.

Have you been on a house swap before? I've always wondered what it's like, but can't get past the strangers in my house idea.

Garytankcommander- Thanks for your tips! Yes i mean holiday swap. Have done it once before and it was fantastic. SPent ages getting my house all sparkly clean and all cupboards sorted. Bought a few new things like tablecloth, glasses, bedding etc. Place looked brill when we left it and the best bit is it is all lovely for you coming back. Not only to you get a lovely holiday you get to come back to your polished house!!

I dont mind the strangers in my house bit. Its not like you have to meet them. A few emails and maybe a chat on the phone but nothing else. You dont have to be friends as long as you look after and respect each others homes its all good!

My friend introduced me to the house swapping site and I love it. She has had many successful swaps. Im just a newbie! Im sure after a few more i will get this cleaning/organising thing under crontrol!!
