DH is taking DS out for the day tomorrow Grin and I want to get lots done in the rare window of child-free time ? but I expect I?ll need a bit of prodding to help me keep motivated.

Anyone else with a busy to do list who?d like to join me for the day?

I need to:

  • have either a lie-in or a nice soak in the bath
  • list an enormous load of stuff on Ebay
  • put away dry washing
  • hang out wet washing
  • tidy the room euphemistically called the ?organised room? Wink
  • hoover the bedroom
  • clean the bathroom
  • make some biscuits
  • descale the kettle
  • sort some of DS?s art & craft stuff
  • have a nap. :)

I feel exhausted just looking at that!

Today I :-
Made 2 packed lunch boxes
Ironed 2 x sets of clothes
emptied dishwasher
refilled dishwasher
emptied tumble trier
put clothes away
put a new load of washing in ( quick wash load)
Tumbled dried and hung up other bits that could not be tumbled.
put rubbish out in the bin
showered
Then went to work !!!!

7.5 hrs work

Went to supermarket - shopped for dinner stuff and lunchbox stuff for tomorrow
came home
cooked dinner
cleared up
stripped bed
re-made bed
helped dd with homework
tidied up as I went along
oh and nearly forgot - hoovered lounge.

Still managed to sit and watch the news - play on mn etc.

Tomorrow will be much the same.....................

Your day sounds really like mine reliablemillipede lol !

AngelDog · 10/07/2012 09:53

Hello everyone. :)

Reliablemillipede, that sounds exhausting - and more than I manage to do all day Blush even though I'm a SAHM.

How do you have the energy??

To be fair, I don't get much child-free time as my 2.5 y.o. goes to bed between 8 and 9.30pm and the rest of the time is insistent on 'helping' me with everything I do. And I'm naturally slow at everything even without having to involve him.

So far I've:

  • had a lie-in & breakfast
  • loaded the dishwasher & put away last night's clean dishes
  • hung up wet laundry
  • taken DH & DS to the station
  • tidied the kitchen

Off for a shower now, then some Ebay listing. I feel pretty pleased with progress so far, as doing the dishwasher/washing/clearing up breakfast etc doesn't normally manage to get done till the afternoon.

Ugh, I hate Ebay. An hour later and I've only managed to list 2 items (though I did also have a shower and strain the chicken stock I made last night). Hopefully I'll get a bit faster from this point on.

Well, I'm making progress, albeit slow. I've listed 13 Ebay things so far and done 2 loads of washing. Another load to do, and more Ebay things to photograph now.

Off to collect the boys from the station. Didn't manage as much as I hoped, but 2/3 of the Ebay stuff is listed, all is photographed and I did hoover the bedroom.

I think I need a week of DH taking DS out! Wink

How're you doing, Wentworth?

Hello! Yesterday was amazing! I am off work this week and kids doing 2 hours cricket each day. Have no money so can't pamper but getting in control of house instead!
My bin bag trick went one better and I did a clothes, books and DVD sort in 3 dcs rooms. 3 bags to charity and 2 in recycling bin. Looks the same on surface but wardrobes no longer bulging with crap!
About to change beds and place all oven bits in dishwasher, fold away washing.
Am on diet, must keep busy!

AngelDog · 11/07/2012 21:52

Sounds fab - hope you manage to keep it up. :)

I wish I'd got more done, but I worked hard and didn't mess around, so I feel I did the best I could. Now I just need people to buy the Ebay stuff!
