We are about to do a holiday house swap. What things would you worry most about?

Obviously toilets/bathroom cleaned and scrubbed but what other bits would you care about if you were staying in someone elses house?

Should i tidy and reorganise all the toy boxes etc, tidy wardrobes and drawers etc. TBH i prefer other peoples houses that have a lived in feel as it helps me relax. Esp on holiday i dont want to be worrying about too much.

So can I have your list of essentials please?

Clean bathrooms.
Clean kitchen
Clean beds.

This is what i have so far.

Oh we are swapping with a family who also have 3dc but older (7, 10 and 12)

I would want space in at least some drawers and wardrobes to put clothes, a completely clean and empty fridge and at least one empty drawer in the freezer, instructions on using the washing machine/dishwasher and information about local public transport and days out.

Thanks Mintyy

We can never get any room free in our wardrobe but i do leave a clothes rail and hangers free and a couple of drawers.
We usually clear out the fridge but it is always stocked with essentials for them to use (part of the deal with a houseswap that you can use stockcupboard stuff and anything from fridge/freezer). It will of course be spotless in there.

House manual has all the instructions for washing machine etc, what not to feed the septic tank etc plus stuff to do locally.

Thank you, i have added the fridge and freezer drawers to my essential list.
