How to clean patio

How do you clean a patio if you don't want to use a power washer (partly due to hosepipe ban, partly because I can't stand the noise of it...)

I guess a scrubbing brush and some sort of detergent but when i rinse the patio will any soapy water going on to the grass kill the grass?

Jeyes fluid and a brush. Just make sure you brush it away from grass if possible
