How do I remove pencil from wool berber carpet?

DS scribbled foot long scratches with an HB pencil on my study floor today.

I've tried using an eraser and a baby wipe so far with no discernable effect.

I have some Dyson solvent spray that I could use but I don't want to just make it worse, so before I try it, anyone got any tips on how to get it out or does no one else have such a devilishly bad tempered child who is old enough to know better?
